Sign Packs
Sign packs are a way to add new textures, symbols, and resource templates to ClickSigns.
This is a guide on the pack format used by ClickSigns. A pack (resourcepack) can be used to add new textures, symbols, and templates to ClickSigns.
A pack is only needed on the client side, however, for other people to see your textures, they will also need to have the pack installed on their client.
Servers can utilize server resourcepacks to automatically send packs to players when they join the server.
Creating a Pack
Prior experience working with minecraft resourcepacks is recommended.
Your pack needs a unique namespace, which is used to identify your pack and its content.
A namespace must only contain: a-z, 0-9, - and _ characters.
A ClickSigns pack folder has the following structure:
Pack Metadata
This file is needed by all Minecraft resourcepacks, to define the pack version and name. However, since ClickSign packs don't change between minecraft versions, you can use the following template:
{
"pack": {
"description": "My ClickSigns Pack",
"pack_format": 6,
"min_format": 0,
"max_format": 1000000
}
}Pack Definition
This is an optional file, that is used to map your namespace to a more human-readable name, so that it can be displayed a bit nicer in the template list or in other places.
{
"name": "My ClickSigns Pack"
}
